About Felt Beautiful
The story so far, 8 years and growing strong.
About me
My name is Louise, and I’m based in Bridlington on the beautiful Yorkshire Coast, and the little bundle of mischief in the background is Fergus! I'm a wife, mum of three, and the proud owner of a cockerpoo who keeps me company while I create fairy decorations, gifts and keepsakes. Needle felting has been my passion for over eight years now, ever since...
Where it started
...my sister—pregnant with her first baby—asked me to create a nursery mobile for her.
She sent me countless Pinterest examples of the ones she liked, most of which had been made using the needle felting technique. Excited by the idea, I decided to give it a go!
I gathered the materials and tools I needed, envisioned a design, and got started. Within minutes, I was completely hooked. The process was mesmerizing, and I felt so proud of my finished creation (even though I only have one picture left, and it's not the best!). That moment sparked a passion that has stayed with me ever since.
How it has grown
I honestly couldn't count how many fairies I've created over the years, but let's just say it's in the thousands! Every single one has a little magic woven into it, and I love knowing they bring joy to those who receive them.
I have an Etsy shop, my own website, stock in local shops, and an order book filled with bespoke creations waiting to be made.
This journey has been incredible, and I couldn’t be happier doing what I love every day!

What is Needle Felting?
Needle felting is a beautiful craft that transforms wool into intricate 3D sculptures using special barbed needles. It's a dry felting technique that allows for incredible detail and creativity.
My felted creations are Waldorf-inspired, meaning they remain faceless—inviting you to use your imagination to interpret their expressions in your own way.
And best of all, wool is a natural by-product, making every piece I create environmentally friendly. A little bit of magic and a little bit of sustainability—we’re doing our bit for the planet!
